The Journey Is About To Begin

Well here I am sitting in my bed trying to figure out what people write about on a blog. There are only two and a half weeks left until I will be leaving to embark on my biggest climbing trip so far. We will be heading off to Europe to experience the best bouldering that Switzerland has to offer. Traveling along side me will be Griffin Whiteside, a longtime friend and amazing climber. We will also be joined by Max Krimmer and Elii Wheeler, also good friends out of Colorado Springs. I could not have asked for a better group of people to climb with.

During the first fifteen days Griffin and I will be traveling throughout Europe to take in all of amazing sights that there are to see. Destinations on our list include Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and France. Our travels through France will bring us to a popular climbing destination called Fontainebleau. Once our travels come to an end Griffin and I along with Max and Elii will be settling down into a house Claro, Switzerland. After a month of climbing in Switzerland I will be taking a short trip to Yangshuo, China to attend the Yangshuo Climbing Festival. Afterwards I will be headed back to Claro for the remainder of my trip.

During this trip my goal is to climb harder than I have ever before. The past month I have been focused on training all of my weaknesses. My hope is while in Switzerland is to send plenty of climbs above the grade of V10, while focusing more specifically on the grade of V12, and who knows maybe if I am lucky I will send V13.

I want to give a big shout out to my sponsor KAILAS for providing me with all of the clothing and equipment necessary for my trip, and for helping me out on my way to Yangshuo, China.
